Jamie Nichols
CEO | M.S. SLP-CCC
Jamie Nichols is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is certified in HANEN and trained in PROMPT diagnostic therapy methods and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders, as well as a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from San Francisco State University.

Elena Edwards
M.A., SLP-CCC
Elena Edwards is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds both a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders from San Diego State University. Elena has enjoyed working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public school setting for over 30 years, and now brings her vast experience to the private practice environment. She finds it particularly rewarding to see her clients improve their speech and language skills, enabling them to become confident, successful communicators.

Krista Lamphere
M.S. SLP-CCC
Krista is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders, as well as a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington. Krista has worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist within the public schools for over 35 years. She recently retired from the school setting and now enjoys working part time at Nichols Speech Clinic. She feels very fortunate to have had such a long and satisfying career in a field she loves.

Andrea Jaouhari, OT/R
Lead Occupational Therapist
Andrea is a graduate of San Jose State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She became Board Certified as an Occupational Therapist in August of 1992 and licensed shortly thereafter. Andrea and has enjoyed practicing OT ever since. She especially enjoys working with the pediatric community, but has extensive experience in orthopedics, NICU, SNF and Physical Disability. Working with pediatric patients, Andrea has expertise in sensory integration and the development of fine motor and visual motor skills. Andrea enjoys using everyday, hands-on daily activities to facilitate independence in the lives of her patients and students, and enjoys meeting the great families and treating the patients who see her at Nichols Speech every week.

Sarah Beard
M.S., CF-SLP
Sarah Beard is a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist. She received a B.A. in Communications from Concordia University, a B.S. in Communication Disorders and Deaf Education from Utah State University, and her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University. Sarah has worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years and has a passion for helping others. She enjoys working with children on their road to communication and improving their individualized needs and skills to enhance a successful future.

Rylee Currie
M.S., CF-SLP
Rylee Currie is a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist. She received her Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology from California State University San Marcos and her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University. Rylee has worked in the schools prior to working at Nichols Speech, and she has a passion for helping children improve their communication abilities and providing parent education. She enjoys working with Articulation, AAC, and Early Intervention. She is excited to be able to help children find their voice through fun and interactive therapy sessions.

Gloria
Lead Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Gloria is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board of California. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA). She holds an Associate of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting from Santa Ana College. Gloria is excited to work with students of every age toward their speech and language goals in order to equip them with the confidence and communication skills they need for success throughout their lives.

Denise
Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Denise is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Boards of California. Denise also has the CBEST credential for educators and has 8 years of experience working with children in school settings in the SPED department. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from San Diego State University. Denise is more than thrilled to be a part of your child’s growth in their communication skills. It is her pleasure to help each child reach their goals and encourage them to give their best all the way.

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Diana is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board of California. Diana is also a certified School Audiometrist licensed by the State of California Department of Health Care Services. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California Baptist University. Diana is excited to be a part of your child’s journey that will help build their confidence and reach their potential in their communication skills.

Cristina
Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Cristina is a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant and is licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board of California. She graduated from California Baptist University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Communication Science and Disorders. Cristina has enjoyed working with a varied population in the past, but is especially excited to find her home at Nichols Speech where she can teach and encourage children to accomplish their fullest speech potential.

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Iris is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Boards of California. She attended Santa Ana College where she received her Associates of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, and she is currently attending California State University Fullerton to receive her Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Disorders. Iris is passionate about her role in helping your children grow their communication skills to the fullest. She is excited to help your children achieve their goals and truly believes that a little progress a day adds up to big results.

Andrew is a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant and is licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board of California. He attended California State University San Marcos where he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Andrew is very excited to work with your child and help them reach their full potential. He is a passionate clinician, and looks forward to guiding your child through their speech journey.

Karen is a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s in 2000 with a bachelor of science degree. She became Board Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in August of 2000 and licensed shortly after. Carolyn Mitchell, B.A.
Office Manager
Carolyn graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition. Though she enjoyed her college preparation, her passion led her quickly in the direction of business, finances and administration. Carolyn is the “voice that greets you,” and administrates the very busy office at Nichols Speech. She has grown into the fabric of Nichols Speech and has witnessed the therapists impact on each child, bringing out their very best. She loves being surrounded by positive people who are truly producing positive results!

Front Desk Receptionist
Noemi has over 20 years experience working Office Administration. She worked in the medical field, both front and back office for over 15 years. She joined the Nichols family in 2020 and loves meeting and getting to know all our little ones and their families.

Jennifer has over 15 years of experience working in office administration. She worked for over 10 years with adults with developmental disabilities in a day program setting. She is currently going to school at Mt. San Jacinto College working on her Accounting and Business Management Degree. Jennifer truly loves helping others and is excited to help your children reach their greatest potential.
