Jamie Nichols

Jamie Nichols

Jamie Nichols is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language – Hearing Association (ASHA). She is certified in HANEN and trained in PROMPT diagnostic therapy methods and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders, as well as a Master of Science Degree in Speech – Language Pathology from San Francisco State University.

Elena Edwards is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds both a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders from San Diego State University. Elena has enjoyed working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public school setting for over 30 years, and now brings her vast experience to the private practice environment. She finds it particularly rewarding to see her clients improve their speech and language skills, enabling them to become confident, successful communicators.

Krista is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders, as well as a Master’s Degree in Speech -Language Pathology from the University of Washington. Krista has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist within the public schools for over 35 years. She recently retired from the school setting and now enjoys working part time at Nichols Speech Clinic. She feels very fortunate to have had such a long and satisfying career in a field she loves.

Lead Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Gloria is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board of California. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA). She holds an Associate of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting from Santa Ana College. Gloria is excited to work with students of every age toward their speech and language goals in order to equip them with the confidence and communication skills they need for success throughout their lives.

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Melanie is a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from Utah State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara.  She was introduced to the field of speech language pathology when her son began early intervention speech therapy.  Inspired by his experience, she returned to school to pursue a career in speech language pathology.  Melanie adores children and enjoys helping them become confident and effective communicators.

Michelle is a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant and is licensed by the SpeechLanguage Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board of California. Michelle also is a member of the California-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA). She attended Orange Coast College where she obtained her Associates of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathologist Assisting, and she is also attending Utah State University to receive her Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Disorders. Michelle is excited to help your children grow in their speech and language needs in a fun and exciting way. She can’t wait to truly see what your children are capable of, and help them realize that with practice they can achieve their goals.

Anelle is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board of California. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California Baptist University, and an Associate of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Riverside Community College. Anelle is more than thrilled to be a part of our students journey as they improve in their speech and language skills and become successful communicators.

Jenn is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board of California. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California Baptist University.

Jennifer loves creating a bond with the kids and being part of their speech and language development.

Occupational Therapist

Andrea is a graduate of San Jose State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She became Board Certified as an Occupational Therapist in August of 1992 and licensed shortly thereafter. Andrea and has enjoyed practicing OT ever since. She especially enjoys working with the pediatric community, but has extensive experience in orthopedics, NICU, SNF and Physical Disability. Working with pediatric patients, Andrea has expertise in sensory integration and the development of fine motor and visual motor skills. Andrea enjoys using everyday, hands-on daily activities to facilitate independence in the lives of her patients and students, and enjoys meeting the great families and treating the patients who see her at Nichols Speech every week.

Karen Demary

Occupational Therapist Assistant/COTA

Karen is a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s in 2000 with a bachelor of science degree. She became Board Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in August of 2000 and licensed shortly after.  Karen has enjoyed working with the pediatric population. She has experience with orthopedics, NICU and  SNF. Karen has done  extensive work with sensory integration, fine motor and visual motor skills.

Robin is a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with the California Board of Occupational Therapy, Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy, and National Board of Occupational Therapy. She holds an Associate of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from Maric Collerge in San Diego.Robin has enjoyed working the last 23 years in a variety of OT settings including pediatrics,, acute/subacute care, outpatient upper extremity rehab, orthopedics, CVA rehab, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. Robin has expertise in the area of fine motor and visual motor skills, upper body strengthening, bilateral hand coordination, activities of daily living, and Sensory Integration.

Office Manager

Carolyn graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition.  Though she enjoyed her college preparation, her passion led her quickly in the direction of business, finances and administration. Carolyn is the “voice that greets you,” and administrates the very busy office at Nichols Speech.  She has grown into the fabric of Nichols Speech and has witnessed the therapists impact  on each child, bringing out their very best.  She loves being surrounded by positive people who are truly producing positive results!

“Izzy” has her Associate Degree in Psychology, and is working toward her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston. “Izzy’s” family loves to surf and to be in the ocean. Izzy is so excited to get to be a part of the Nichols Speech therapy family.
